Here we are in July and full blown into summer with flights to Hawaii, ships cruising again, along with summer meals of made up of ice cream and pizza. It just doesn’t get better.

Cruising again

Soon Long Beach residents won’t have a slew of cruise ships lingering near the shore that we have become accustomed to in the last just shy of a year and a half. Carnival cruise line announced that the Panorama will sail with passengers Aug. 21, the Miracle in September and the Radiance in November.

Spokesman Vance Gulliksen wrote in an email,” We are planning a #BackToFun event in Long Beach on Aug. 21 when Panorama goes back into service.”

Hula time

There are now four morning flights to Hawaii from Long Beach Airport (LGB), meaning passengers can arrive in time for lunch. The fifth “after work” evening flight arrives in Honolulu in time for a fashionably late dinner at 8:35 p.m.
