Small House Farms, a sustainable, holistic business on the outskirts of Sanford, was created in 2014 by a family that believes in simplicity.
“When we got started with Small House, we were fascinated with small-scale, hand-crafted, artisanal products,” Co-owner Bevin Cohen said.
The family business includes Bevin, his wife and co-owner, Heather Marie, their children Elijah, Mayor, 12, and Anakin James, 7, and animals including chickens, and a cat named Sno.
Not only do they sell seeds of all kinds including vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers, they offer a multitude of natural items including salves, lotions, oils, tinctures, and more.
“We have quite a diverse selection of things that we craft here with herbs that we grow or collect from the wild,” said Bevin, author of “The Artisan Herbalist.”
