Tesla, whose high-tech vehicle software already supports Spotify integration, is reportedly working to add both Apple Music and Amazon Music to its roster.
Unlike other cars, which mirror the contents of a linked smartphone, the Elon Musk-led electric automaker wants to run the streaming services natively on its cars’ onboard computers, Tesla blog Electrek writes.
Images shared with Electrek also indicate that Tesla is working on Tidal integration. The names of the new services were spotted in the user interface settings.
Teslas will also soon add support for Amazon-owned audiobook company Audible, according to the report.
Musk has been pushing for Teslas to become entertainment machines, and has in the past discussed a desire for users to be able to play video games on the massive touch screen included with every car.
“Entertainment will be critical when cars drive themselves,” Musk tweeted on Monday.
It is not yet clear when the new integrations will be officially available.
