“The only source of knowledge is experience.” At least that is what Einstein and every college professor I have had thus far has hammered into my head; I am starting to realize that they were onto something. We are told that the most valuable aspect of college is the experience, the networking, and connections we build. My experience as a marketing intern at Premier Financial Group, obtained largely in part because of a professor’s reference, has taught me it is indeed the case that fostering professional connections and accruing direct real-world experience is crucial for success.
In a world beginning to emerge from this global pandemic, I, along with millions of other college students, was not alone in lacking real world experience and feeling lost within my intended career.
