$1B in business incentives, Supreme Court mulls redistricting suit: The week in Michigan politics

In the last day of voting for the year, Michigan lawmakers kicked out an incentive plan aimed at luring big businesses into building new projects in the state.

The bipartisan package creates pots of money to direct state taxpayer dollars towards attracting large business projects, including a possible GM plant for electric vehicle batteries.
