Twenty years ago, the idea of a cannabis dispensary in Dixon would have been unthinkable. Even more unthinkable would have been a dispensary that is actively involved in the community it operates in.
However, times have changed, and Dixon Wellness Collective — now in its third year — is different from what one might think of when they hear the phrase “cannabis dispensary.” In addition to selling a wide array of cannabis products, the business educates customers on the substance and sponsors community events.
These efforts have been recognized by the public and the business community, which has resulted in Dixon Wellness being recognized as Business of the Year by the Dixon Chamber of Commerce. On top of that, it was also the recipient of a Spirit of Solano award, which recognizes outstanding businesses in Solano County.
