Moving into the last day of the Christmas shopping season, some local retailers say business has been good.
Brooklyn Stepp, co-owner and business manager of Th@ Bizzi B Boutique, credits the uptick in sales to moving to a storefront in downtown Elizabethtown after being solely internet based last year.
“This year is definitely a lot busier than last year,” she said. “Our sales are up 24% this year. That’s a huge growth margin that we’ve had.”
Last weekend, Stepp said the store’s door “was like a revolving door” with lines for fitting rooms and checkout. In a matter of a day, Stepp said three racks of clothes sold out.
“When new product arrives, it is flying off the shelf,” she said.
