Inflation is at a 40-year high and interest rates are climbing. A lot of attention is being paid to what that means for shoppers, homebuyers, borrowers, and others.

A lesser-known side effect, but still an important one, is that the dollar hasn’t been this strong in 20 years. Experts think that’s likely to endure for at least a while because rates are going to keep rising. It’s becoming an issue for US companies that make a lot of their sales overseas, as they’re warning that currency fluctuations could hurt their profits.
