The Chicago Bulls (20-10) recorded their third straight win after beating the Indiana Pacers (14-20) on Sunday at United Center.
Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan combined for 56 points, 32 and 24, respectively, as Lonzo Ball missed his first game of the season. Bulls were also without Alex Caruso, who is out with a left foot sprain.
Hours before tipoff, Ball joined Bulls head coach Billy Donovan in health and safety protocols, blaming the media for “jinxing” him after avoiding last week’s outbreak in Chicago. Coby White took Ball’s place on the starting lineup, but struggled in 33 minutes on the floor, scoring just eight points on 3 of 10 shooting, and adding just one assist.
