$10K grants will help its small businesses, N.J. county says

Gloucester County Commissioners are rolling out a new program to help cash-strapped businesses recover from the coronavirus pandemic shutdowns.

The Small Business Recovery Grant program is part of federal Cares Act funding specifically targeted to assist businesses in retaining jobs and recovering from revenue losses related to the pandemic.

“The Small Business Recovery Program was created in an effort to keep the businesses that we love in Gloucester County,” County Commission Director Bob Damminger said in an email to NJ Advance Media. “So many businesses were there for us during the pandemic and it’s our turn to support them. We hope our small businesses will take advantage of the grant and reach out to our Department of Economic Development if they’re in need of assistance.”

Eligible businesses can get awards of up to $10,000. The business must demonstrate it will keep at least one permanent job held by a low- and moderate-income person…
