AVON LAKE, Ohio — The annual Avon Lake Business Expo, which was postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, came back bigger and stronger than ever.
More than 70 area businesses filled the large room at Ahern’s Catering and Banquet Center on Avon Belden Road July 15. The City of Avon Lake joined forces with The Power of More, an organization that combines several area chambers of commerce under one name, to put on the expo.
Businesses ranged from health care, insurance and pizza to senior living, a shooting range and lots of sweets and goodies.
Avon Lake Economic Development Director Ted Esborn estimates that a crowd of at least 350 people attended. Rockin’ music kept them entertained for the afternoon.
The expo had a good location in previous years, but the response by the business community this year simply caused the show to grow too big for that space, which could hold only about 40 businesses.
