When the state relaxed COVID-19 regulations, Laura Perez Garcia started seeing more activity in her store on Main Street in Worcester.
As a small business owner, she sees the foot traffic outside of Voltage Fashion Boutique on Main Street increasing as the percentage of people wearing masks declines.
“Things are brighter now,” said Perez-Garcia, who is also the president of the Main South Business Association. “It’s back to business.”
On Friday, the Main South Business Association plans to shine a spotlight on the opportunities within the neighborhood. As people begin to feel more comfortable leaving their homes, establishments in Main South are open for business.
The event, dubbed “Back to Business” is hosted by the Main South Business Association along with the Main South Community Development Corporation and Casa Cultural Dominicana.
The four-hour event starts at 2 p.m. at Fuller Family Park on Murray Avenue with music, Zumba, food, raffles…
