Black & Minority businesses have been the cornerstone in American cities for over 30 years, and the number of Black vendors has grown steadily.
Black-owned businesses have been an integral part of the success of many cities’ development plans.
For this reason, there is a strong need to comprise several things: One, a compilation of names and locations of Black-owned businesses in the parish. Two, a framework for organizing a base for Black business owners to plan, receive resources and network. Three, a committed board of business owners, and partnerships who will consistently provide service to Black businesses.
