Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. says that the Bronx is open for business, which means hundreds of job opportunities for residents in the community.
Diaz joined Baldor Specialty Foods, Chef’s Warehouse, Nebraskaland and Food Direct on Thursday to encourage residents to join the workforce.
The major food distributors in Hunts Point are in need of workers as the hospitality and restaurant industries reopen.
Baldor alone says they have 300 jobs available at the moment–from driving trucks to sales representatives, to working in the warehouse.
The companies say applicants can either call or go on their websites to apply for the jobs.
