Workforce Southwest Washington announced that its Executive Board of Directors has named Miriam Halliday as Chief Executive Officer of the organization. Halliday will be responsible for implementation of WSW’s new strategic plan, organizational management, development of statewide and national strategic partnerships and fund development. Halliday is most recently the organization’s Director of Programs. She joined WSW in 2016 as its youth manager and progressed to program manager and then Director. She holds Master and Bachelor of Arts degrees in social work from Portland State University.
Nursing professor Dianne Lucia was granted tenure during the Clark College Board of Trustees meeting on Dec. 8. Tenure is awarded by the college’s Board of Trustees to faculty based on professional excellence and outstanding abilities in their disciplines.
