The last 18 months haven’t been kind to Baselworld. The last time the event took place was in 2019. A planned coordination with the organizers of Watches & Wonders (formerly the SIHH) to host the events consecutively in 2020 faltered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, many of Baselworld’s key watch exhibitors have decamped to Geneva to join the Watches & Wonders event. That includes Patek Philippe, Rolex, Tudor, and many more.
Hosted by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), Watches & Wonders was able to successfully adapt to a digital format in 2020 and 2021. You can read our coverage of this year’s event right here.
