“Then we ended up here in the pop-up area (in Apache Mall) this time last year,” Johnson said.
The main location in Apache Mall opened last October and another store in the Mall of America opened in April.
“It’s kind of crazy but the pandemic is what made us,” Johnson said.
Although Levels House of Hoodies is known for its hoodies, Johnson says it’s “not just hoodies at all. We have everything from socks to cross body bags, hats, t-shirts, jeans, sweatsuits, shorts, just a little of everything, you know.”
The business started with Johnson and his nephew and has grown into ten team members between the Rochester and Minneapolis locations.
“It’s really surreal, you know. Believe me, I had no idea that it would have us in two retail malls in less than a year from losing it,” Johnson said.
But Johnson says what has kept business growing is the outpouring of support from the community.
