Catawba Man Arrested On Drug Charges Following Search Of Business

38-year-old Darren Dwayne Hollar of Bert Drive in Catawba was arrested Thursday (June 17) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, four counts of maintain a vehicle, dwelling or place to keep controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth, and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

On Friday, June 4, 2021, Investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and State Agents executed a search warrant at an automotive repair business on Bert Drive in Catawba. During that search Investigators reportedly found and seized 55 grams of meth, eight grams of marijuana, five grams of marijuana wax, a shotgun with an illegally shortened barrel, a stolen firearm, two stolen vehicles and two stolen trailers.

Darren Dwayne Hollar, the operator of the business, was arrested and charged. Additional charges against Hollar are pending. Two other individuals…
