Kennebec Savings Bank hires new VP

AUGUSTA – Ian McCarthy is joining Kennebec Savings Bank as its new vice president and commercial banking officer.

McCarthy will be responsible for commercial lending, relationship management, and business development at the bank’s Freeport location.

Prior to joining KSB, he worked at Key Bank for 11 years, both in retail management and in commercial lending positions. McCarthy volunteers as a board member for the Pine Tree Society and as a coach for his local high school basketball team. He graduated from Winthrop High School and attended Endicott College in Massachusetts. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Philadelphia.
