ACQUIRER: Toy maker and distributor Character Group PLC’s subsidiary Character Promotions Ltd.
SELLER: Toys ‘R’ Us Anz Ltd., a company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
TARGET: The business and assets of the Chill Factor-branded range of drink chilling bottles and slushy makers. The company said these assets comprise Chill Factor’s international patents and trademarks, designs and other related intellectual property, associated production moulds and tooling, inventory, customer lists, outstanding orders, as well as the goodwill of the business.
PRICE: $1.3 million in cash upon completion.
EXPECTED CLOSE: Completion is provisionally scheduled for July 16.
