Walter Thorne has been named market president and publisher of the Albany Business Review. He will take over the role July 1.
The announcement was made by American City Business Journals, which also owns a nationwide network of 44 local business publications.

Thorne has 30 years of experience. He joined the Business Review in 2019 as advertising director and previously worked for Albany Broadcasting Co. and Rexair LLC. He also was a business development manager for Advance Media New York.
He attended Wagner College and currently lives in Malta, NY.
