Construction has kicked off on a huge business park in Mesquite.
The Mesquite Airport Logistics Center is a project of Dallas developer Dalfen Industrial and will include 2 million square feet of warehouse space.
Work began this week on the first phase of the project – two buildings with almost 1 million square feet.
“Mesquite has been a great business partner on this project,” Dalfen’s Tyler McElroy said in a statement. “They have stepped up every time we have reached out to make the vision of the Mesquite Airport Logistics Center become a reality.”
The two new Mesquite buildings are scheduled to open in second quarter 2022.
“Today, we are not just celebrating a groundbreaking,” Mesquite Mayor Bruce Archer said in a statement. “We are celebrating another benchmark moment in our extraordinary economic development journey in Mesquite.”
