Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce helps expand minority business

 

DELAWARE,-  One organization is stepping up to help minority business owners.

Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce launched the EnrichDelaware! Program, training participants to create a plan to help grow their businesses.

From June till December, owners will attend 13 interactive sessions on various topics including business development strategies and financial management.

The organization says the pandemic highlighted many disparities minority business owners were facing, especially in areas like education and resources. “We want to help the small businesses here in the state, specifically minority businesses because they’ve been overlooked for such a long time, said Founder/CEO Ayanna Khan.

We’re told the program has been effective so far with participants seeing a 68% increase in revenue after completion.
