Designer and seamstress Brooke Burch’s bobbin-bestrewn apartment functions as a spot for sewing lessons, alterations, and lately, a vintage styling/sales business.
Vintage Rack has been open for about six weeks. Clients can make appointments via Facebook or phone (507-250-4946) to visit Burch’s home, where she’ll wheel out racks of ready-to-wear pieces.

Burch began collecting vintage clothes as a hobby, she said. “I think I like the hunt more than anything — finding the item, hearing about the history of it.”
After accumulating an impressive inventory, she began offering it for sale informally. But now she’s ready to take the step into proper home sales.
