‘Downtown Lynchburg is ready for business’: New beer garden creates more options for nightlife

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — New businesses are sprouting up near the downtown area in Lynchburg and contributing to the ‘Downtown Lynchburg 2040 Masterplan’, a revitalization project that started off as an idea in 2017 and is now being put into action.

Scott Campbell from Utah is looking to relocate and says Lynchburg is number one on his list. Some reasons for choosing Lynchburg included tax rate, property taxes, and demographics.

Campbell said, “I really like downtown. It seems like it’s up and coming; it seems like there’s a lot of new businesses coming here.”

One of the first spots he visited was Greenhaus Beer Garden during its opening night on Friday.

Greenhaus is a new beer garden on 11th and Church street. One of its goals is to promote more creativity downtown and add to the new modern atmosphere.
