The owner of a Venezuelan restaurant in East Williamsburg says his business has been burglarized three times in just two weeks at a time when it is already facing setbacks due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, the community is coming together to help the Casa Ora restaurant and hopefully protect it from any more break-ins in the future.
The owner, Ivo Diaz, tells News 12 that the storefront looked much different with the glass on the door completely shattered after a break-in that happened Wednesday morning.
It was all caught on camera. Video shows a person outside of the restaurant taking an object and throwing it at the front door, shattering it.
The person in the video is then seen walking into the business, hopping over the bar and taking the cash register, which police say had over $300 inside.
