Fargo pawnshop employee shot at would-be robber who then fled in stolen car

FARGO — A person who tried to rob a south Fargo pawnshop around noon Thursday, June 10, fled the business in a stolen vehicle after an armed employee fired multiple shots, police said.

Some time after noon Thursday, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a Kum & Go convenience store on 13th Avenue South, one block east of 25th Street South, according to Fargo Police Sgt. Mike Bernier.

Soon after, a person attempted to rob the Mister Money pawnshop on 33rd Street South near the Cash Wise Foods grocery store, just under a mile west of the Kum & Go.

A pawnshop employee shot a gun at the would-be robber, who then fled the area in the stolen vehicle, police said. There were no reports of injuries to bystanders or the would-be robber, police said.
