Clayton, N.C. — A fatal hit-and-run closed the westbound lanes of Hwy 70 Business on Sunday morning.
Clayton police could be seen investigating the crash, with yellow crime scene tape surrounding a large chunk of the highway and a black Clayton PD screen alongside the shoulder.
The crash occurred near Medical Park Drive. Cars were being rerouted through a parking lot.
The identity of the victim has not been stated at this time.
