Fire at Foutch’s Pub may leave business closed for a year, manager says

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI — A Flint Township pub is facing lengthy repairs following an early morning fire Wednesday.

Firefighters responded around 3 a.m. Wednesday, June 30 to a fire at Foutch’s Pub, 1477 S. Linden Road, according to the Flint Township Fire Department.

Lisa Montana, general manager at Foutch’s Pub, told MLive-The Flint Journal Wednesday afternoon that the fire left extensive damage to the inside of the pub.

She noted SERVPRO said it could take nine months to one year to rebuild the interior.

“We feel like we’re grieving right now, that’s for sure,” Montana said.

Foutch’s Pub has been in business for 11 years.

The business intends to rebuild, Montana said, and come back “bigger and better.”

Montana said the workers at the pub are the “Foutch family.”

The staff is close, Montana said, calling Roger Foutch, the pub’s owner, “the best boss anyone (could) ever ask for.”
