Friday night business expo offers ‘giant hug’ to Flat Rock community – The News Herald

Although business expos have been a part of the Flat Rock Community High School landscape for the better part of two decades, this Friday promises to offer a very special one.

With the recent gasoline spill that caused numerous residents to evacuate for several weeks and forced the cancellation of this year’s Flat Rock Riverfest, residents need something to celebrate.

While Rams fans are hoping for a victory over Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central High School on the gridiron, no matter what happens it will be a festive atmosphere with a business expo offering free give-aways and raffles, all the while showing appreciation to the football team, marching band members, cheerleaders and the local businesses that have supported them.

Jeremiah North, assistant football coach and corporate liaison with the Booster Club, said the community needs this event, now more than ever.
