On the first anniversary of Verizon Business’ acquisition of cloud video conferencing platform Blue Jeans, CEO Tami Erwin reflects on Verizon’s strategic orientation, the pandemic and her leadership.

Tami, out of all the options that Verizon had, why Blue Jeans? How did that fit in with your vision?
When Hans Vestberg came in as our CEO, he built the intelligent edge network, which was the integration of our wireless and wireline networks. Two years ago, Verizon completely reoriented our business into what we refer to as Verizon 2.0 – it’s the way we face the marketplace. We are a consumer business.
