GRAND BLANC TWP, MI — Just months after opening her edible cookie dough shop last year, Jessica McGuire was set to close her business because of the hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, one social media post propelled the shop to persevere throughout the year.
We’re Dough, 5349 Fenton Road, in Grand Blanc Township is celebrating it’s one-year anniversary after planning to close the business just four months after it opened on June 27, 2020.
McGuire, a native of the Flint area with an industrial engineering degree from Kettering University, had invested all of her personal funds into the business to get it running.
When September rolled around, a typical time period when bakeries got busy, the sales were reflecting half the amount from the previous months.
