Greenville business owner one of only 10 finalists in The UPS Store’s Small Biz Challenge

Joe Hindman, owner and general manager of Modal, a hostel in Greenville, was chosen as a semi-finalist in The UPS Store’s Small Biz Challenge.

Hindman and nine other small business owners beat out a pool of more than 2,000 other applicants across the country.

“Winning the UPS Store 2021 Virtual Small Business Challenge would change the course of our business by allowing me to demonstrate gratitude and reward my hard-working staff, invest in our property to further the experience of Modal, and also finance direct marketing campaigns to spread the word so that others can come partake in the community we’ve worked so hard to build,” said Hindman.

As part of the contest, the chosen entrepreneurs are up for an online public vote through July 5.

The five semi-finalists with the most votes will be announced July 9 and will compete in a Virtual Small Biz Challenge event hosted by celebrity chef, author and television host Carla Hall.
