Tommy Connors runs Syracuse Crate, which packs up Central New York favorites and sends them to people who have moved away. (Don Cazentre | dcazentre@syracuse.com)
Nostalgia sells, especially when things are tough. That’s a lesson Tommy Connors has learned since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
Connors runs Syracuse Crate, the company that packs up local favorites like Hofmann hot dogs, Hinerwadel’s salt potatoes, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que sauces and, when available, Grandma Brown’s baked beans. He then sends those and other lesser known items to folks who live in places where they aren’t readily available.
