SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) –
A few small businesses in Saginaw excited on Friday after a visit from the Lieutenant Governor.
The trip was meant to highlight the Whitmer Administration’s Economic Jumpstart Plan sending millions of dollars in federal relief to small businesses.
Small business owner Kujuanna Ray of U Me Paint Experience felt honored to be one of the few businesses in Saginaw to be visited by Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist.
“This last year has been about survival. You know and so relationships are so important so it’s awesome to have him come and to explain that we matter,” said Ray.
She says it meant a lot to have someone from the top of the state be able to see her and her business and offer support.
“So often as small businesses we feel that, oh, you know, Not all the grants or not, all the resources are available to us, but that has been shown differently in recent time and I’m just super excited about it.”
