Local business auctioning motorcycle for charity – Estes Park Trail-Gazette

There is currently a silent auction going in Estes Park for an authentic 1971 Honda Trail 70 motorcycle that will not only take many back to childhood, but help raise some money for a good cause right here in our community.

Ben and Julie Ferguson own Hyk Mountain Lifestyle at 149 E. Elkhorn and earlier this year they started the nonprofit ‘Hyk the World’ to help raise awareness and money for charitable causes locally and internationally.

The idea to auction a motorcycle came from a chance encounter and a random act of kindness by a heartbroken couple from Loveland.

“About 14 months ago, Pat and Stephanie McCaffrey from Loveland donated this 1971 Honda 70 to my wife Julie and I to put in the window of our store,” said Ben Ferguson.
