WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Macksville Coffee Company in West Terre Haute opened its doors to customers last month.
The shop takes the place of what was an old post office and antique shop. Owner Tracey Rubinacci said that her vision to bring a coffee shop to the town started in that old antique shop.
“I used to come into the antique shop and I just thought it was a nice open concept,” Rubinacci said. “It has a lot of room to have coffee and customers.”
Rubinacci said that business so far has been superb and she credited the West Terre Haute community for the current success of the store.
“I’ve just been overwhelmed and blessed to have all the support that we have in the community,” Rubinacci said.
West Terre is a small, tight-knit community where everybody knows everybody. Rubinacci explained that she hopes the shop can be a space for residents to reconnect.
