U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy yesterday released a 22-page advisory with recommendations for combating misinformation about Covid-19. The challenges faced by the Biden administration in fighting false information about the coronavirus mirror those that are confronting business leaders in dealing with rumors, fake news, and disinformation about their companies, products and services.

At a briefing with White House reporters, Murthy explained his Surgeon General Advisories “are reserved for urgent public health threats.
