SAN DIEGO —
A motorcyclist died when he collided with a car in a Torrey Pines-area business park, San Diego police said.
The crash happened about 6:30 a.m. on Sorrento Valley Road less than a half-mile south of Carmel Mountain Road, just west of Interstate 5.
A car driver headed south on Sorrento Valley Road made a left turn, and the motorcycle rider driving north broadsided the turning car, police said.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.
Footage shot by OnScene TV shows heavy damage to the front passenger door of the car.
Police did not release the names of the driver or the motorcyclist, but said both were men in their 30s.
Traffic officers are investigating.
