LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Neighbors and business owners want city leaders to take action after two fatal shootings have occurred within the 900 block of Winchester Road since April.
Community members gathered at Bluegrass Baptist church Monday for a meeting with Lexington-Fayette County Urban Government 5th District Councilmember Liz Sheehan, Lexington Police Lt. Jeff Jackson, and Director of Code Enforcement Alex Olszowy.

“There was one shooting that was exactly out my front door,” Fred Roser said after the meeting.
Roser, the owner of Lexington Mechanical Service, has a property in the 900 block of Winchester Road.
“I don’t come to my office late at night,” he said.
The area has been the site of two homicides since April.
35-year-old Cyrus Davis was shot and killed on April 9, according to Lexington Police.
And 43-year-old Ali Robinson was found dead from gunshot wounds on June 9, police said.
