EAST LIVERPOOL–Members of the East Liverpool Civil Service Commission met briefly Wednesday afternoon in council chambers to accept some separations from the city’s employment ranks.
In addition to the dismissal of Chris Green, a former canine police handler and school resource officer, from the East Liverpool Police Department, commissioners also accepted the resignations of patrolmen Jesse Smith and Jonathan Kerchofer, who both left the department for employment with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.
Richard Haught, who had just been hired in spring to a water maintenance job, left that employment Friday.
They also accepted the appointment of Kevin Cibula, effective June 25 as a full-time firefighter making $12.16 per hour.
In other new business, the board voted to schedule a new entry-level patrolman’s examination at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at the East Liverpool Community and Learning Center. Applicants can be picked up in the mayor’s…
