Rancocas Woods to get farm market, business boost in Mount Laurel

Unique shopping area in Mt. Laurel makes comeback

MOUNT LAUREL — Shoppers will find a growing number of specialty shops selling antiques, crafts, books, art, coffee, lunch, pet care and more in the quaint Rancocas Woods Village of Shops, but soon they also will be able to buy Jersey Fresh produce.

Sustainable Jersey, an environmental nonprofit, has awarded Mount Laurel $10,000 to start its first ever community farm market to be located in Rancocas Woods.

The PSEG Foundation provided the grant money to Sustainable Jersey, which aims to to support local farmers, increase accessibility to food and grow a local  economy.

The market will supplement the revitalization effort to boost business growth at Rancocas Woods shops, which suffered a decline after the 2008 recession.
