Shaq Attacks Hollywood: Shaquille O’Neal gets into the movie-making business

Shaquille O’Neal is ready to return to Tinseltown.

Variety reports the Newark, N.J. native and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer is “venturing into the filmed animation space.”

O’Neal will make his debut as a co-screenwriter and producer on the short “Headnoise,” mounted through his company Jersey Legends Productions. … O’Neal will narrate the project in addition to writing the script with playwright Donnie F. Wilson.

Hollywood is nothing new for O’Neal, who won three NBA titles on the Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside Kobe Bryant.

According to the report, O’Neal’s film “examines the internal and external pressure to succeed, as told through childhood friends Rashaun and Damon, two talented basketball players from the same inner-city neighborhood.”
