Soul Burrito owners make bittersweet decision to sell business

Owners of Soul Burrito in Susquehanna Township say they have sold their business after a nearly 14-year run.

Over the weekend, Obi and Nicole Linton shared the news that effective Jan. 1 they are retiring. The couple said the sale, which they called bittersweet, includes the business concept and two food trucks.

“It’s like literally a child going off to college,” Obi said. “We birthed this thing. We created the idea. We had many many challenges and obstacles. It’s always been onward and upward no matter how many challenges we faced.”

The Lintons became interested in food trucks in 2008 after attending a food truck event in Maryland. It led them to pursue their dream and buy and renovate a 25-foot truck from the New York meat district.
