STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) — Furniture & ApplianceMart and Ashley HomeStore are looking for new workers and are willing to sweeten the deal for people looking to work.
They’re offering a variety of incentives totaling thousands of dollars.
They say they’re still looking to hire about 10% to 15% of their entire statewide workforce; the largest amount they’ve ever had, which translates to 65 open positions.
“Right now we’re just at a place where we could really use all the help that we can get. The retail industry that we are in right now is growing really quickly. And we need to be able to staff for that growth. And it’s been really difficult to try to do that so we’re trying to pull out all the stops to and do everything that we can to get people in,” said Jon Gadbois, Vice President of Marketing and eCommerce at Furniture & ApplianceMart and Ashley HomeStore.
