Taste of Flat Rock returns to business district offering food, family fun – The News Herald

The Taste of Flat Rock is returning to the city’s business district this Saturday.

Like so many events in 2020, the event was canceled last year due to pandemic restrictions, but is back with everything and more that participants enjoyed about the first two events.

The block party will be held from noon to 5 p.m. July 17, on East Huron River Drive, from Seneca to Garden Boulevard.

Taste of Flat Rock made its debut in 2018 and was so well-received, organizers decided to make it an annual event. According to Diane Parker, one of the event’s organizers and promoters, participation from local businesses has remained steady and enthusiasm high.

Food and beverage vendors from the Flat Rock community will be selling single-serving samples of food, desserts and beverages for $1 to $3 per sample, with the vast majority at a price of either $1 or $2 per serving.
