Thieves break into three units at Bonita Business Park

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Thieves broke into three units at the Bonita Business Park off Bonita Beach Road, stealing a gun on Saturday.

Now unit owners want Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies to catch the person or people responsible. 

Kevin Griffin said he has had this unit for 20 years and has never had anyone break-in. The criminals drilled a hole through one unit, creating what Griffin described as a peephole. 

Then, Griffin said they went to his first unit and cut through the metal door.  

“They cut through the outside door and then they cut the inside that is how they accessed the building,” Griffin said. 

Then they began to tear through the drywall of the units making their way into an electronic store called Carbon Wholesale. 

“I feel violated,” Griffin said. 

Despite having electronics inside the store, deputies said the thief(s) only stole a gun. 

“I am quite surprised,” Griffin said.
