Thousands of votes cast; results reveal Downriver’s ‘Best of the Best’ businesses – The News Herald

Most every business owner wants to claim to be the best, but who really is the best Downriver in the food and drink, service, travel and entertainment and shopping industries?

The answer rests with area customers and patrons who regularly frequent stores and shops and pay for various services.

For a second year, The News-Herald went in search of answers to those questions in a competition that saturated the Downriver area to seek out the best in 100-plus fields.

Last year’s Best of the Best contest had nearly 200,000 responses, and this year’s contest surpassed even that.

People had an opportunity to vote for the best ethnic cuisine restaurant, bakery, appliance store, meat market, car dealership, auto repair, favorite attorney, golf course, festival and so much more.
