Portuguese Bend Distilling, downtown at 300 The Promenade, is making us all feel like tiki time with a new tropical food and drink menu. One standout is the POG seltzer, a house-made seltzer with essence of Passion Fruit, Orange and Guava for $10.
It is a grown-up way to reminisce about the milk cap game that was a fad in the 1990s. Back in the day, pre-teens would collect and trade the cardboard tops from beverage containers — especially those with POG inside. It was like a game of marbles where winners took home their opponents’ milk caps.
If thinking about those childhood days of playing “slammers and POGs” makes you hungry, then you might want to try the Lilikoi Pulled Pork Sandy, Sticky Ribs, Coconut Curry Salmon, or Jerk Chicken.
