If it hasn’t already, things are about to get serious for local high school teams preparing for the fall season.
Teams have spent the summer focusing on weight training, conditioning and polishing their position skills at camps and competitions. However, the focus shifts for most this week.
Schools that belong to the South Carolina High School League are allowed to open team practices July 30 for football, volleyball, swimming, cross country, girls’ golf, girls’ tennis and cheer teams.
